How I Scaled a $1M Business in 14 Months Off My LinkedIn

Your company growth engine secret is LinkedIn.

When I started my business, I didn’t have a huge marketing budget. I didn’t have a team of 50 people. I didn’t even have a clear roadmap.

I didn't even have a website.

but what I did have was my LinkedIn profile—and a pretty good hunch that building it would = attention. And attention IS the currency for businesses in 2025.

In just 14 months, I scaled my business to $1M in revenue entirely off the back of LinkedIn.

In the early stages of your business, you are the brand. You’re the marketer, salesperson, and spokesperson, the practitioner and executioner. Your audience isn’t buying a logo—they’re buying into you.

If you’re a founder looking to scale, here is how you start.

Step one: Build your LinkedIn profile like a landing page.

Your headline: Focus on the benefits. Be clear, not clever. Avoid jargon. Add data.

Your Bio: Write in the 1st person. Tell your story. Use social proof. Have a clear CTA.

Your Pictures: Unfiltered. High quality. Approachable. Professional looking - SMILE.

Your content: Always valuable. Consistent in posting. Bring your personality. Give 4x before you ask. Ask at least 1x per week.

Step two: Systemise your content.

I’m not going to harp on about this. If you’re here, you know to post. But have a system. This is mine:

Define 3-6 topics you want to talk about that a) relate to your expertise and b) will be useful to your audience.

Mine are:

  1. Personal growth (think my failure posts)
  2. Self-confidence (#1 question I get is about confidence)
  3. Personal branding (duh)
  4. Business growth and my founder journey
  5. Social media growth
  6. Monetising your personality

Step three: The Follow-up.

I routinely go back through my comments and likes and identify my ideal audience form within those groups and send them follow-up messages. Below is a template you can steal.

“Hi [Name], Thanks for liking my post! Always appreciative when people take time out to add to the convo. Let me know if there’s anything I can do for you, or anyone I can introduce you to in 2025.”

This message won one of my clients $300,000 contract with a multi-million dollar builder. The same message won another client, from a completely different sector a $120,000 contract.

It was 18 months before I invested in a website. Most founders spend the first few months wasting time on building one instead of generating the money they need to pay for it.

The businesses that grow the fastest are not the ones with the best website, or the fanciest tech stack - they’re the ones with the most attention.

A founder’s personal brand content gets 8x more engagement than the companies.

Start putting these frameworks into practice, and you’ll see how you scale much faster.

In my opinion ;)
