I posted my first piece of content on LinkedIn in June 2019.
Zero likes.
Then I posted again.
Zero likes.
Five more times? Still NOTHING. Not a single like, comment, or share. Just crickets.
I’d be lying if I said it didn’t suck. Because it DID. It felt like screaming into the void. Like putting your heart into something only for it to be completely ignored.
Most people would have quit. Most people DO quit.
But I kept going.
Two months in? Three likes.
Did I feel ridiculous? Absolutely. Did I wonder if I was wasting my time? Every. Single. Day. But I’m pretty stubborn. So I didn’t.
Six weeks later? Three likes. A tiny flicker of proof that maybe—just maybe—this wasn’t all for nothing.
Then 18.
Then 50.
Then, 6 months later, people started DMing me. Asking for advice. Telling me my posts actually helped them.
Fast forward to today;
I have 210k followers.
Have amassed 130 million views.
I regularly go viral.
Most importantly, that virality has turned into $$$$ for my business.
Not because I’m special.
Not because I got lucky.
Not because I had some secret formula.
But because I refused to stop.
Because I kept posting when it felt pointless. Because I kept showing up when no one cared. Because I believed that if I just kept going, the results would come.
And guess what?
They did.
Building a brand, growing a business, or making an impact doesn’t happen overnight. It happens when you show up even when it feels like no one is watching.
So if you’re feeling frustrated, ignored, or like you’re wasting your time—GOOD. That means you’re in the trenches. And the people who push through that phase? They’re the ones who win.
Keep going. Your future self will thank you!
P.S - If you want some support from people in the trenches too, come join us in the Get Klowt. We’re a community of people building their personal brands, sharing ideas, getting supporting and cheering each other on along the way.
